Kruz and Paizlee are the first siblings documented in the USA with SIOD. They are two of five cases in the country with this rare genetic and fatal disease. With under fifty cases ever documented in the world, Research will cost around $6,000,000 and would not only help Kruz and Paizlee but those who suffer from this disease presently and in future. Research testing will open doors to unmarked territory in surrounding diseases like strokes or cancer. We believe identifying the missing protein in SIOD could be the missing puzzle piece for surrounding areas of disease.
Special thanks to our friends, Amanda at Amanda Chapman Photography and Al Hammond at Awaken Films for these beautiful photographs and amazing video. Many more to come!
